Animal Masks - Canine, Feline, Otter

Welcome to the wild side! These animal masks are simple but stunning, and will surely impress your friends at the larp, ren fair, masquerade, or convention.

Please Note that DIY Kits include ONLY the mask and ears (not attached). You will need to provide all materials for sanding, painting, and assembly.  Also note that these masks are 'One size fits most' and are not especially glasses-compatible. If you typically have trouble finding hats in your size, contact us before ordering and I can print larger or smaller masks to order.

Painting instructions:

1. Remove the zip ties holding the ears in place if present (You will need new zip ties)
2. Sand the mask and ears til smooth. This process may be aided by a sandale spray-filler.
3. Re-tie the ears to the mask with zip ties and glue them in place (e6000 glue recommended).
4. Using a sandable filler like wood putty, fill the gap between the ears and mask and any other gaps. Sand the filler til smooth.
5. Apply a spray primer (make sure to only spray-paint in a well ventilated area)
6. Paint the mask using acrylic paints, or similar materials
7. Clear coat with a gloss enamel or acrylic spray to protect the paint.
8. Attach straps (any elastic cord will suffice) and tighten them to your fit and comfort.
9. (Optional) You can line the inside of the mask with craft foam or another padding for comfort during extended wear.
