What is a Familiar?

In folklore and fantasy, a familiar is a supernatural companion that assists a magic user with their magic. They can come in many forms, and are usually more intelligent than their mundane counterparts.

I make squishy Familiars designed by myself or other modelers. They are made using skin safe certified silicone, making them perfect for hours of squishing, petting, and stimming.

What is a Familiar for?

Familiars are fun companions, gifts, and decorations! They make excellent stim toys, bath toys, or personal touches for your desk or shelf. I chose the materials and shapes so that our familiars have a variety of fun textures to enjoy. And because they are made of skin-safe silicone, they are durable and washable for endless hours of fun and magic.

How to care for a Familiar

Safe Handling and Storage

• Keep out of direct sunlight/UV light and away from pets.
• Silicone toys are only safe for children with close supervision, as they are small choking hazards and will break down if bitten. Familiars are NOT chew toys and will not maintain their integrity if chewed on.
• Keep away from solvents like rubbing alcohol as these can affect the silicone.

Cleaning

• Silicone is sticky and may temporarily pick up lint, hair, and dirt. Most grime can be washed away easily, but some dyes and paints may stain the silicone.
• Wash with soap and water and air dry thoroughly. Any hand or dish soap will work fine, but be mindful that scents from soaps may cling to the silicone temporarily.
• Avoid solvents like rubbing alcohol, as these can soak into the silicone and weaken it. 
• If you wish to fully sanitize your silicone familiar, a short dip (1-5 minutes) in boiling water should adequately sanitize the surface of your toy without affecting the shine or squish.

Magical Enrichment

• Familiars love taking part in magical activities, keep them happy and enriched. They enjoy assisting with rituals, helping you meditate to restore your mana, and holding spells for you for special occasions. A familiar with no tasks to perform will be a bored familiar indeed, so make sure to keep them engaged!
